1-What has been the most meaningful or favorite part(s) of photography? Why?
I love working on Photoshop because the same photo change to mean a bunch of different things depending on how it's edited and I like the versatility. 2-What has been the most challenging, difficult or frustrating part(s) of photography? Why? I think that completing assignments that I'm not super comfortable or I don't immediately feel inspired with push me to try harder and be better. 3-What project forced you to work outside your comfort zone and take a risk in doing something that you had never done before? What was the result? Were you successful or unsuccessful? Why? I think the self-portrait was probably the hardest for me, because I just didn't feel as comfortable working on it and editing myself. It was also hard to set-up and trust someone else to physically take the photos even though I set them up. I think that overall I has a successful experience, though I think that one of my photos was more successful than the other. 4-What did you learn that was most surprising or eye opening? Why? I thought learning about the different ways to use the lighting and the way that with just a small shift it can change the feel of the shot. 5-In what project did you achieve something positive despite difficulties and/or problems? Explain the difficulty. Explain what you achieved. I think that my surrealism photo was pretty positive considering it was my first project and I hadn't touched Photoshop in a year, so I was trying to remember how to use the program and also create a successful piece. I achieved a piece that used different skills in Photoshop and looks good. 6-In what project did you produce your weakest work? Why was this piece your weakest? What could you have done to make this work stronger or better? I think my self-portrait was the weakest because my second picture was a picture of me but it didn't really say anything about who I was so in that respect it wasn't the strongest piece. To improve it I would have changed the facial expression or the background to have more meaning. 7-What would you have liked to learn about? Why? I would have liked to learn more about using the studio or using the camera controls better or photographing in different situations. 8-How has this photography class changed the way you create art? I now don't just take stereotypical shots because we have tried so many different types and forms of photography. 9-How has this photography class changed the way you view, interpret or what you think about art? It has pushed me to look at every situation with how it could be a successful shot. 10-Use this space to provide additional comments, questions and/or concerns.

Flying at Night by Ted Kooser Above us, stars. Beneath us, constellations. Five billion miles away, a galaxy dies like a snowflake falling on water. Below us, some farmer, feeling the chill of that distant death, snaps on his yard light, drawing his sheds and barn back into the little system of his care. All night, the cities, like shimmering novas, tug with bright streets at lonely lights like his. Bay Bridge
